BlackRock clients bought $251.43 million in Bitcoin on May 5, according to data shared by Crypto Patel. The purchase added 3,082.652 BTC at an average price near $81,570. A day earlier, clients acquired $335.49 million in Bitcoin. That transaction added 4,193.334 BTC at an average price near $80,000.
These consecutive inflows increased BlackRock’s IBIT holdings to 821,229.4896 BTC by May 5. The total value of these holdings stood near $67 billion. On May 4, IBIT holdings were recorded at 818,146.8377 BTC. The increase reflects continued accumulation during a period of stable price movement.
Market data shows Bitcoin trading above $80,000 during both sessions. This price range supported large-scale entries without sharp volatility. Institutional flows often track price stability, and these purchases align with that pattern. The transactions also followed recent ETF demand trends.
